Stink Bugs

Stink bugs are shield-shaped, mottled brown insects measuring 1/2 to 3/4 inches long with distinctive banded antennae and smooth, rounded shoulders. These invasive pests feed on over 300 plant species and are commonly found in gardens, agricultural areas, and around homes, particularly during fall when seeking overwintering sites. Stink bugs are notorious for the pungent odor they emit when disturbed and can cause significant damage to fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Effective management includes sealing cracks and crevices, removing them with vacuums rather than crushing, and professional exterior treatments for severe infestations.
